Red Rocker

AAAAA Quilted Maple for the top, Black Korina back and a Flame Maple/Birdseye Maple neck.

The fretboard is Birdseye Maple 24-fret 25" scale.  I'm starting out with blanks.  The Black Korina

is two 7" wide pieces that are 2" thick.  I will resaw some 1/8" slices off of the back blank so I can have

matching covers for the control cavities and such.

I recently bought a new bandsaw that is large enough to resaw 12" wide blanks.  Here are the blanks

after the resaw.  I cut two sets of 1/8" thick slices off the back blank so I can use them for control cavity

covers and whatever else I may need.  Since the slices came off the back blank, the covers should match

really nice!

Another pic of the blanks post resaw.  Now that I have the back blank to the correct thickness,

it's time to head to the jointer and get the edges squared up and join the blanks together.
